All of this also applies to the ICONS Mallorca. The 2024 poster motif for ICONS Mallorca is therefore a special reminder and an emotional signal with impact.

The poster motif has now been unveiled and will feature in adverts, posters and press reports for the ‘Mobility Week for Good’. One of the most legendary places – a landmark spot – the Cathedral of St Mary in the Spanish harbour city of Palma, the capital of the Balearic island of Mallorca, is the motif. It is the episcopal church of the diocese of Mallorca. In the vernacular, it is often simply called La Seu; this Catalan expression means ‘the bishop’s seat’.

Iconic coachbuilding Alfa Romeo: an Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B from 1937 – of which only 5 examples with a long wheelbase were ever built between 1937 and 1940.

The beautifully designed and technically sophisticated two-door model from 1937 was already a precious rarity at the time it was built. It was based on the chassis of the extremely successful 8C Grand Prix racing car and was powered by an in-line eight-cylinder engine made of light alloy with a supercharger. The vehicle bears the Superleggera body, which was hand-built by Carrozzeria Touring at the time: it is a 2900 Berlinetta Touring. A lovely lady from the thirties enjoys Palma.

As always with the ICONS Mallorca, the layout is additionally decorated with hydrographic depth lines as decorative elements. The poster will be offered as a souvenir on the public day of the ICONS in Part Andratx – on 5 October 2024.
