It is a ‘place to be’ and we would like to recommend it to all friends and fans of ICONS Mallorca and the participants of our car week for a visit.

To the left, the bells of the sheep trotting past ring, to the right, the ice cubes clink in the cocktail glasses served on the terrace: The Mallorca Country Club uniquely combines the tranquillity of its idyllic surroundings with the luxury of its sporting facilities.

But it’s not just this mix that makes the Mallorca Country Club special. Situated in the idyllic hinterland of Santa Ponça and with views of the majestic Galatzó mountains, this place combines tradition and modernity to perfection.

The club, which was founded in collaboration with Wimbledon, is the only one in Spain to have tennis courts with three different surfaces (grass, clay and hard court). Its six grass courts with original Wimbledon turf are an exclusive feature that sets it apart from any other club on the island. In addition to five clay courts and one hard court, three padel courts and a dedicated court for the new trend sport of pickleball round off the first-class sporting facilities.

The club also offers in-house physiotherapists, ice baths, a pool area, a gym, personal training and yoga classes. The state-of-the-art sports facility offers a privileged view of the beautiful surroundings.

In addition to its sports facilities, the club is also ‘your place to be’ for the international community in the south-west of the island. One of the venues for countless encounters in a relaxed atmosphere is the club restaurant. Whether for a healthy and light meal, a drink after work or a romantic dinner under the stars on the large terrace: regional and high-quality products take centre stage here. This is increasingly appreciated by entrepreneurs, who use the club’s elegant and inviting premises for meetings and networking.

The club hosts numerous events throughout the year, from sports tournaments and company dinners to private parties. The high-calibre events range from hosting the GlobeAir Partner Days to the upcoming ‘Spobis goes Mallorca Country Club’ in October 2024.

The most important event of the season takes place every June: The Mallorca Country Club organises the Mallorca Championships ATP 250, the only grass court tournament in southern Europe, which many tennis pros use as preparation for Wimbledon. During these weeks, the club will host the biggest sporting event to take place on the island and the only ATP grass court tournament in Spain.

The Mallorca Championships are not only a high-calibre tennis tournament, but also a social event that attracts many prominent guests. The mixture of international lifestyle, top sporting event and a very special ambience attracts VIPs and sporting legends year after year – in 2024, the tournament was attended by sporting legends such as Vicente del Bosque, Jürgen Klopp and Feliciano Lopez as well as footballers such as Mario Götze, Jonas Hofmann and Niklas Süle. Boris Becker and Tommy Haas hosted a highly acclaimed and interesting tennis talk as part of the tournament. Even Sir Richard Branson and actor Mads Mikkelsen did not miss the exciting matches of the tournament.
